About me
I'm a quantum physicist and AI Alignment researcher. My most recent research is on evaluating and improving the robustness of collaborative agents in deep reinforcement learning (in collaboration with CHAI, UC Berkeley). I'm also interested in how we can align AI agents that themselves have been designed by an algorithm (see AI-generating algorithms; I'd be happy to share my research proposal on this topic on request). I currently hold a Research Fellowship from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. My project focuses on using AI and machine learning to design and optimise quantum physics experiments, with applications across the quantum technologies. I have a broad range of research interests, including foundational and philosophical questions regarding quantum mechanics, and the long term risks posed by transformative artificial intelligence.
